Hi, I’m Dr. Arun V. J. — a transfusion medicine doctor from Kerala, India, and the voice behind ThirdThinker.

My motto is simple: “No patient shall die in need of blood.”

 

I’ve been fortunate to receive the Dr. J. G. Jolly Award for my work in voluntary blood donation, and I currently lead the Blood Centre at Malabar Medical College. Alongside my clinical work, I completed my MBA in Hospital Administration at BITS Pilani, where I deepened my interest in healthcare strategy, leadership, and productivity.

 

On this blog, I explore:

• Healthcare explained simply — breaking down complex medical topics so anyone can understand them.

• Productivity for doctors — tools, habits, and strategies to work smarter and prevent burnout.

• Technology in medicine — especially how AI can save clinicians time and improve patient outcomes.

I also mentor young professionals, collaborate with NGOs, and conduct training sessions on Soft skills/  AI in healthcare for doctors, hospitals, and students.
